In summer, the friendly town of San Cassiano is the right place to enjoy the unspoilt nature of the Dolomites. There are many options for outdoor activities fully immersed in the stunning scenery, and suitable for every taste and all age groups.
Many trails start from the town or at a height of more than 200 meters on the Pralongià plateau that can be reached by the Piz Sorega cable car. We are near the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, the perfect place for excursions, trekking or mountain biking on one of the many trails that leave from there.
It is also possible to go on one of the many fantastic excursions to some of the largest mountains of the Dolomites, a world heritage site, such as Mount Conturines and Mount Lavarella at more than 300 meters above sea level.
Bicycle enthusiasts will also have a chance to go biking to the Falzarego Pass, or to challenge the four Dolomite passes around the Sella group, where the popular Maratona dles Dolomites takes place.
At 1,5 km you will find the cliffs of Sass Dlacia where you can practise rock climbing. At 100 meters there is in the a sports area to practise beach volley and football. Pedestrian area in the town centre your will find bars, restaurants and various shops.
